Frankincense essential oil (Boswelia serrata)

Botanical species: Boswellia serrata.

Description: It is derived from the Boswellia sacra tree and trees of a similar species.  Frankincense oil is produced from the resin of the Boswellia sacra tree; the resin  it is obtained from the trees bled when a cut is made  in the bark.

Main chemical components: Complex mixture of monoterpenes such as alpha-pinene, alpha-thujene and beta-pinene.
